WWE Trying Add Women’s Match to Super ShowDown Card?
It appears WWE is trying to make history with Friday’s Super ShowDown PPV. And, if they’re able to, it’s the kind of history that everyone in North America should be extremely excited about.
We already know that announcer Renee Young will be a part of the show as she was at the announce table last time WWE made the trip. But, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Natalya and Alexa Bliss are being flown to Saudi Arabia as well.
The hope is that WWE will be able to convince the Saudi group who is bringing them in to make them part of the show. Ideally, it would be a match.
WWE has reportedly been going back and forth with the Saudi General Sports Authority for months over the possibility of having women perform at Super Showdown and they must be making some ground on that front if they are flying those women all the way out there.
News of this match as a possibility first leaked when Young posted a photo on Instagram of she and Natalya together on the way over to Jeddah. That got people talking as to why Natalya was there.
Good Luck WWE
Let’s hope this is something WWE can pull off. If it is, moving forward, WWE would be able to add women to these shows and offer a much more well-rounded event.
All the company needs to do now is find a way for roster members like Sami Zayn and Aleister Black to get on the show and not excluded because of their Syrian descent or their specific tattoos.
