It was only a matter of time before WWE officially dipped their toes into the podcast industry. A recent report suggests WWE won’t just be tipping their toes in but going all-in on a podcast network that includes a variety of shows that feature their current crop of WWE Superstars.
A report from The Hollywood Reporter says this is exactly what WWE intends to do and while details aren’t completely clear as to when the network would launch and who would be a part of the programming, this is happening.
It makes sense too.
WWE wants to capitalize on the popularity of the podcast genre and who could blame them? They have a ton of talent on their roster that could easily host a show and you know the WWE Universe would listen intently.
Who Should Get Their Own WWE Podcast?
What we don’t know is if WWE will focus on giving a platform for former stars like Mick Foley, Steve Austin, or Hulk Hogan? Or, will WWE focus on current stars like Rusev, New Day, Becky Lynch and Daniel Bryan?
WWE is partnering with Endeavor Audio for the new project. This is the same company that powers the WWE Network and works with The Bella Twins on their Bellas Podcast.
