After defeating Goldberg for the Universal Championship, WWE already has plans in place for Braun Strowman who will be part of this Friday’s SmackDown.
They teased Strowman’s appearance and a new challenger on the show.
The Monster Among Men earned a career-changing win at WrestleMania and heads to SmackDown to usher in his new reign as Universal Champion.
Braun Strowman fought off not one, not two, not three, but four vicious spears before delivering four consecutive Running Powerslams and conquering WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at The Show of Shows for the title.
What will the future hold for Strowman now that he carries the crown of Universal Champion? Will a new challenger step up and run the risk of getting THOSE hands?
There are rumors that WWE is considering moving The Fiend into a program right away with Strowman. Some suggest it’s to make up for a silly booking mistake when they allowed Wyatt to lose to Goldberg in the first place, a decision that ultimately cost WWE because fans turned on Goldberg despite his belief that the WWE Universe would see him as a hero.
The Fiend, meanwhile, dispatched of John Cena at WrestleMania and there are hints and rumors that Cena is officially done with WWE now.
There are, of course, other options. SmackDown has a crop of stars that could battle Strowman for the top prize on the brand. And, with the Superstar Shakeup apparently still on, it could be someone from Raw or NXT who makes a move to Friday nights.
