In today’s WWE rumors and news update, there is speculation surrounding the Seth Rollin’s segment that aired on Raw, news on the Fiend’s red light and comments from Rusev, offering a different opinion than most on his current storyline.
Rollins’ Segment on Raw Heavily Edited
During Seth Rollin’s Monday Night Raw promo, he claimed he was the best wrestler on the planet. According to Alex McCarthy of Talk Sports, the reaction fans saw on television was not the same reaction Rollins got from the live audience.
Because Raw was taped in Manchester WWE was able to go in and edit the segment, including the crowd noise. Rumors are Lana’s baby announcement and Rollins’ promos were both heavily edited to give a completely different vibe than how those watching live felts about the respective segments.
A number of fans in attendance chimed in on Twitter and said as they watched on tv, they knew WWE had gone in and muted the crowd.
Fiend Red Light A Potential Weakness?
WWE is currently pushing Bray Wyatt’s, The Fiend as an unstoppable force. But, rumors are out there that there may be a potential chink in his armor.
Recently Wyatt tweeted, “You can’t kill it. Under the red light…” Some are wondering if this is a tease from Wyatt that without his light, he’s not as strong as he appears to be.
Is this an idea WWE is tossing around for a future opponent? Could someone realize that if they remove the red light, they have a chance to take The Fiend down?
If nothing else, many fans will be happy because the red light seems universally hated by most people.
Rusev Thinks His Angle Is “Hottest Thing Going”
While many fans are calling for an end to the Lana, Rusev and Bobby Lashley pregnancy storyline, Rusev is not in the camp of the people who hate the angle.
When asked about how he really feels about the storyline, he responded, “It’s great.” He added,”I think we are in the best storyline currently going on and the best storyline that’s been around for years. It’s getting a lot of views and a lot of eyes on it.”
Calling every segment a collaboration, Rusev isn’t worried about what he’s being asked to do by WWE and believes his current storyline is “the hottest thing going” in WWE.
John Cena Back For WrestleMania 36?
While promoting his movie, John Cena was asked about the potential he might show up at Wrestlemania 36 this year, possibly responding to Randy Orton’s challenge.
“I wasn’t even aware of that,” Cena said. “I never make the matches, I’m just grateful to be able to perform in WWE. Every day away from it, I miss it more and more and more…I’m very eager to get back into a WWE ring soon. And on the subject of WrestleMania, I can tell you this—I haven’t missed a WrestleMania since my first appearance at WrestleMania 19, and I do not plan to miss a WrestleMania for decades to come.”
