WWE Has Released The Revival

It took months to happen and a ton of online complaining, and WWE waited for a quarantine before letting them go. But, WWE has finally agreed to release The Revival from their contracts.

There was speculation WWE was refusing to release the duo, had extended their contracts due to injury and even stopped paying them because they’d hit their downside guarantees. None of that likely helped WWE when it came time to trying to convince both Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to stay.

A tag team many will argue has not been used properly, The Revival did get chances and tag title runs inside the company. Still, they seemed miserable and regardless of the contract offers from WWE to stay, had no intention of doing so. Rumors have always been that both competitors would wind up in AEW and join fellow former WWE guys, Jon Moxley, Shawn Spears, Brodie Lee, and Matt Hardy, but time will tell.

Beloved by many people in WWE, wrestlers reacted immediately to the news. Sasha Banks, Bayley, Beth Phoenix, Mick Foley and a host of others commented on The Revival leaving, with Foley saying it best. He said, “My guess is we have not seen the last…or best of @ScottDawsonWWE and @DashWilderWWE
