WWE Confirms Renamed June PPV

The Backlash pay-per-view that WWE traditionally holds in June will now be renamed. Thanks to the Saudi Arabia event, WWE decided to move the PPV anyways and as part of the changes, have decided to move the date, change the city and rename the show to Stomping Grounds.

The Tacoma Dome is now confirming that they will host the “Stomping Grounds” WWE pay-per-view on June 23rd.

The name Stomping Grounds was recently trademarked and many fans believed that was a sign the company was producing a new show on WWE Network or some other special. We’ve now learned it is a new PPV.

As of this writing, only a single match has been confirmed: Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston is also promoted to be at the show.

What Should We Know?

It appears the PPV will also feature Braun Strowman, AJ Styles, Charlotte and Becky Lynch.
