WWE: Becky Lynch Calls Out Sasha Banks
With multiple rumors and reports flying about Sasha Banks and the animosity shared between herself and WWE, Becky Lynch has given The Boss an opportunity to turn things around.
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Lynch would talk about WrestleMania 35, Ronda Rousey, her upcoming matches at Money in the Bank and even Banks, calling out her Four Horsewomen of Professional Wrestling peer in the process.
“Come fight me, Sasha,” said Lynch. “At one time, Sasha Banks was the top dog, she was ‘The Boss,’ but Sasha’s fallen from grace. It seems like she can’t hack it.”
Lynch would reach an olive branch out to Banks and in no uncertain terms say that the two of them could blow the roof off of an arena akin to what they did back during their time in NXT.
“Let’s prove something. I know we’ve had tremendous matches back in NXT, and it’s been an age since we stepped in the ring together, and I would love to again, but this is a whole different kettle of fish”
With Lynch sitting atop the wrestling world as both the Raw and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, she’s never been more in the eyes of the fans. Despite having two upcoming matches at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, one against Lacey Evans and the other against Charlotte Flair for the Raw and SmackDown Championships respectively, Lynch doesn’t appear to be too worried about stretching herself out to thin.
She probably won’t be fighting Banks before those two matches occur but a Lynch vs. Banks feud could be exactly what the latter needs to return to the top of the women’s division, even if it isn’t as champion. There’s no denying that Banks has talent in the ring and while she may be at odds with the company right now (at least according to those numerous rumors and reports), she consistently provides a boost to the women’s division when she’s on television.
There’s no telling what the future has in store for Banks as far as WWE is concerned but this is likely far from the last time she’ll be discussed as this hiatus from WWE continues.
