In an attempt to try and hype WWE Super ShowDown as much as possible leading into June 8, 2019, WWE has announced that The Undertaker will make an appearance next week on Raw.
His upcoming opponent for the event, Goldberg, has not been listed to appear but there is some speculation WWE might try to arrange a Goldberg surprise.
Just days before his highly anticipated battle with Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown, The Undertaker will be on Monday Night Raw!
Will The Deadman have anything to say as he gets ready to take on one of the most dominant competitors in sports-entertainment history? Find out this Monday night on Raw, live at 8/7 C on USA Network!
It’s Been Some Time Since We’ve Seen The Deadman
The Undertaker has not appeared on WWE programming since the post-WrestleMania 35 edition of Raw. It was at that show he took out Elias in a shocking return.
WWE chose not to capitalize and has left him at home until this coming Monday. Calling the Super ShowDown as good, if not better than WrestleMania, Undertaker vs. Goldberg is the headlining main event. It only makes sense the company would try to have them appear at least once to hype the match.
Does Anyone Care?
The question won’t be, what will Undertaker do or say? The question will be, ‘Does anyone care?’
Having the Undertaker on the show is only done in an attempt to boost ratings. That said, there aren’t a lot of fans stoked to see this match that should have probably happened 15 years ago.
If WWE can’t get viewers for an Undertaker appearance, one has to wonder what WWE can do to turn things around. They’ve tried a Wild Card Rule, a 24/7 title and backing up the Brinks truck for Bill Goldberg.
