The Undertaker made a shocking return to WWE on Raw Monday night as he targeted Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon, and at the same time, saved Roman Reigns.
The segment started as a rematch no one wanted to see and turned into what will go down as the most talked-about moment of the night. No one expected Undertaker, there were no rumors of his return and WWE shocked the WWE Universe with his return to the ring.
Considering when we last saw Undertaker — a terrible match with Goldberg at the Super ShowDown show in Saudi Arabia — this was a nice surprise and likely signals he was unhappy with how things ended. He, and likely WWE, wanted a do-over. It started on Monday.
The Deadman targeted Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon but there was no announcement as to his future. The segment ended as McMahon and McIntyre fled the scene and The Undertaker knelt in the ring with the fans going crazy for his return.
What’s WWE Got Planned for Undertaker?
It was later announced Undertaker would team with Reigns at Extreme Rules against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. He is now officially a part of Extreme Rules.
