Undertaker Apologizes to Chris Jericho On Twitter
The Undertaker probably doesn’t have many reasons to apologize to other wrestlers. Considered the leader among leaders in the wrestling industry, his word is like gospel and the veteran gets a lot of room to make decisions, respect from other performers and leash to say what he wants.
Still, even he will come out and call a spade a spade.
This past Monday on Raw, The Undertaker cut a promo leading into his Boneyard Match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 and it might have been one of the best promos of 2020. He’s being highly praised for it. But, there was a moment during that promo that has caught some attention.
Taker told AJ to bring his “two assclowns” with him, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, so they can also feel his wrath. A fan tweeted Jericho and joked that the leader of The Inner Circle would have a “BIG lawsuit” to hit The Deadman with over his use of the “assclown” name, which Le Champion actually took the time to respond to backing The Undertaker.
Jericho responded to the fan and wrote, “Hardly! He’s the @undertaker…he can used as many of my catch phrases as he wants!!! [cowboy hat face emoji]”
Taker responded to Jericho’s tweet this evening and wrote, “My bad @IAmJericho ….I knew I had heard that somewhere before….”
Of course, all of this was in good fun but it’s interesting to see two legends working for different promotions interacting so openly during a time period some might call AEW vs. WWE. In fact, it’s nice to see neither one of these guys seem to care who they work for. They’re just having a little fun and showing some respect.
