While speaking to TV Guide, Triple H noted that while WWE is trying to get through this COVID-19 pandemic and mostly focused on the now, he and the company are realizing some of the things happening this year, might work well for future years.
One of the bigger changes this year was the fact that WrestleMania will be taking place over two nights. And, even though that’s never been done before, he didn’t shy away from saying WWE might further investigate continuing WrestleMania as a two-night event.
This moment in time is changing everything, and I think there are opportunities that we will see and explore now that will become the new norm. So all of those things, whether it’s multiple nights, whether it’s off-site shoots or different things like that, I think those will all be opportunities that we can explore in the future and we’ll see. If they’re successful here, they might be successful in the future as well.
Things are certainly fluid in WWE and in entertainment right now as higher ups and production companies figure out what they should be doing and how to manage moving forward. In WWE’s case, it’s smart to be taking notes and seeing what works, what fans enjoy out of all this and applying it to improve future pay-per-views.
