Samoa Joe Returning to WWE’s Announce Team
Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that Samoa Joe, who has been out of action due to a concussion, will be returning to the WWE RAW broadcast booth. Satin said in his latest article:
As we previously reported, WWE is filming two episodes of Raw today at the Performance Center in Orlando. One will air tonight and the other will air next week. This is being done to limit the amount of travel competitors will need to do during the pandemic.
“Sources tell us Joe is in attendance at the tapings and will return to the commentary team during at least one of the shows, if not both.”
Joe has been dealing with concussion issues, the latest of which came while filming a commercial for WWE. Perhaps WWE feels it’s best to ease him back into things and he was widely praised for his work the last time he was on the commentary team. It seems to be a good fit to bring him back.
Satin notes there is no word on who Joe will replace at the announce desk, or if it’ll be a four-man booth.
WWE has also announced for the show a contract signing between Seth Rollins and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre for Money in the Bank.
