Dean Ambrose was nowhere to be found on the go-home to WrestleMania show that took place on Monday. That is, unless you were in the live audience and stuck around for the dark match-like action that took place after the cameras stopped feeding to live television.
After defeating Rey Mysterio in the main event on Raw, Corbin get hit with Ambrose’s Dirty Deeds finisher and then the Lunatic Fringe took a bow to the crowd. Then in a move that surprised many, Ambrose hit the turnbuckles to pose and pointed to the WrestleMania 35 sign, indicating he may be there and taking part in the show. While it was assumed Ambrose would be at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, there’s been no indication he’d take part in the show after losing a Last Man Standing match to Drew McIntyre on last week’s Raw.
Ambrose would be a welcome addition to show but what exactly would he do? There are a number of stars with some name recognition not yet set for a spot on the card. Kevin Owens, The Usos, John Cena and others could still wind up with matches and if Ambrose is a part of the show, what would that say about his future with WWE?
Could he get involved in the Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre match? Better yet, might be help secure Seth Rollins a win for the Universal Title against Brock Lesnar?
I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see. Or, Ambrose was trolling the crowd by pointing to the sign and he actually is going to sit out the rest of his contract, not appearing on a pay per view or program until he’s done and ready to move on.
