Ronda Rousey Trolls WWE Fans on April Fools Day

Sometimes, you have to give credit where credit is due. In the midst of being one of the bigger heels heading into WWE’s biggest show of the year, Ronda Rousey is giving fans reasons to fall in love with her.

Taking full advantage of the fact today is April Fools Day, Rousey posted a video online of her telling fans the rumors of her leaving WWE after WrestleMania 35 were true. The kicker is that she’s leaving to puruse a career in playing the jazz saxphone.

The video shows Rousey on her farm with husband Travis Browne as they talk about her love of the sax. It’s just “the brass and my ass” she says as she walks around the farm serenading a number of her farm animals.

The video also jumps to her behind the scenes in WWE where names like Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss and others are all in on the joke. Paul Heyman talks to the camera at one point and says, “‘When Travis Browne called me and says my wife is a sax addict, I was like “my man! Travis Browne you are the luckiest bastard on Earth. Then I realized he meant a s-a-x addict.”

The video is actually quite hilarious and while Rousey doesn’t actually allude to her future in WWE after this Sunday’s grand show, there is a sense from watching it that she’s telling fans not to be so quick to assume anything.

It’s a total about-face from what WWE has been pushing with Rousey as a character on television but it’s a good reminder that everything were watching between her and Becky Lynch is probably happening because that’s the way Rousey, Lynch and WWE have planned it.
