After the announcement came Friday that The Revival had been granted their releases by WWE, immediate talk turned to if and when The Revival might jump to AEW.
Further news on Friday notes that their debut could come much sooner than expected.

WWE Backstage reporter Ryan Satin noted on Twitter that Wilder and Dawson are not under a non-compete clause with WWE. They are now free to work for any promotion they want. And despite the fact that AEW has pre-taped a number of their shows and have matches done all the way through the end of May, The Revival could send in their own taped promos or vignettes of the two stars could start coming as early as next week, with the seeds to an eventual Young Bucks vs Revival match-up happening as soon as things get back to normal.
This is not to say that The Revival have signed with AEW or made a plan on their future. It’s only noting that, should they choose, they can work with Tony Khan on contracts right away.
The Revival About to Set Tag Team Wrestling on Fire?
That The Revival couldn’t find their footing in WWE on the main roster is extremely disappointing. But, the idea of them moving over to AEW and wrestling teams like The Young Bucks, Santana and Ortiz, Lucha Bros and Private Party have fans extremely excited.
The timing is terrible because fans won’t get to see those matches right away, but the anticipation and the possible build to that happening is almost as fun.
