[Report] WWE’s Andrade Injured, Won’t Be Part of WrestleMania 36
It appears WWE United States Champion Andrade has been pulled from the WrestleMania 36 tapings this week, according to PWInsider. While he’s not concerned about getting sick like Roman Reigns was (he pulled himself from the show) or The Miz, Rey Mysterio, and Dana Brooke, Andrade was apparently injured.
The United States Champion was scheduled to team with Angel Garza to challenge RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits for their titles. The likelihood is, the Street Profits would have retained. So, Andrade being replaced is not likely a huge deal for the show. That said, this is now the fifth superstar, that we know of, who won’t be taking part.
Word is that Andrade suffered a rib injury this past Monday on RAW. He took part in a match where he teamed with Garza to take on and defeat the team of Ricochet and Cedric Alexander. After the match, they had a scuffle with their upcoming challengers.
Speculation is that Andrade was not medically cleared to compete in the Wednesday or Thursday tapings. While it seems likely he would be replaced, there’s no word on who that replacement was, other than that it might have been someone from NXT.
