[Report] Randy Orton Dealing With Neck Injury, But Ready For Return

It wasn’t long ago Randy Orton took on Triple H and beat him clean in the ring at the Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia. Despite that being a potential catapult to a main program with someone, Orton hasn’t been on tv and it’s been somewhat of a mystery as to why.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported The Viper has been sidelined with a neck injury since that contest in June. That along with some already scheduled time off is why the WWE Universe hasn’t seen Orton or the RKO sneak attack anyone for a while.

The website writes:

“Fightful Select has learned that Randy Orton has been dealing with somewhat of a neck injury, which was evaluated last week. Orton jammed up his neck against [Aleister] Black, and already had vacation time coming up. He was given an additional two weeks prior in order to rest up accordingly.”

Not To Worry Orton Fans

It was speculated for a while that Orton would be the mystery opponent for Aleister Black, a job instead given to Cesaro — a match that has the potential to be a classic.

The good news is, Orton returned to action this week at live events and should be good to go for SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

He’ll be returning to tv, just in time to work with either Paul Heyman or Eric Bischoff directly and it will be interesting to see what these two have in store for him.
