While this might not be something WWE wanted to be promoted and, obviously, the card is subject to change, The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA is now advertising a new set of matches for the July 14 WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
The following matches are now advertised:
* Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton
* AJ Styles vs. Drew McIntyre
* Baron Corbin vs. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins with the title on the line
Some other Superstars are being advertised for the show as well and that includes RAW & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Daniel Bryan, Bobby Lashley, and Braun Strowman.
What’s interesting about some of these names is that it promotes Sasha Banks being back with WWE and Bobbly Lashley not having left to pursue MMA aspirations (even though that has been rumored).
Things have clearly changed since the arena first announced Reigns vs. Corbin and Rollins vs. McIntyre back in early March. The changes have been made because of the Superstar Shakeup.
It probably won’t take long for fans to be up in arms about the idea that Corbin is getting a main push towards the Universal Title or that Randy Orton is going to be a main player for the SmackDown brand. The good news here is that it means Kofi vs. Reigns may not be on WWE’s radar for a while.
