According to Tom Colohue, WWE has big things planned for Braun Strowman when he returns from his “injury” at the hands of Bobby Lashley.
Colohue says a source noted there’s a plan “to get Strowman back to his roots as a monster, just destroying everything in his path.” He’s going to come back from the hospital with fury in his mind and new Executive Director Paul Heyman is not pleased with how Strowman has lost what made him so popular as he was on the rise in WWE.
As Colohue put it, Heyman “is eager to observe” Strowman’s “monstrous side.”
Strowman Is a Heyman Guy
Braun Strowman is exactly the kind of wrestler Heyman loves. He’s big, he’s destructive, he can lay waste to anyone and everything around him. He’s got the makings of someone Heyman can turn into a star.
It will be interesting to see how much focus and attention Heyman puts on Strowman moving forward and if he finally gets a shot at the Universal Title and actually wins the thing.
Strowman was poised for a major main event push last year, winning the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble and the Money in the Bank ladder match and then his push inexplicably vanished. Speculation was he’d botched a finish and was being punished as a result.
For Strowman, if that’s the case, Heyman taking over couldn’t come at a better time.
