MVP, who has been negotiating with WWE to stick around as a regular in the company, has announced that he has signed a multi-year deal with the promotion.
He wrote on Instagram in a post on Friday:
Tonight, I’m drinking “the good stuff”. Yamazaki 18 from @suntorywhisky is the spirit of choice. I have come to terms with @raging-reverendwwe on a multi-year deal. MVP is in #thehurtbusiness for the foreseeable future! Kampai!
MVP returned to WWE at this past Royal Rumble and while his appearance was meant to be a one-time (possibly two-time) deal, he parlayed his ability on the mic and willingness to work with other wrestlers into a regular role.
In recent weeks he’s taken on mentoring Bobby Lashley and formed a new stable called the Hurt Business. He’s easily become a staple on Monday nights and is one of the key components to a new storyline called Raw Underground.
Congratulations to MVP, a long-time wrestling veteran and someone who wasn’t sure just a few months ago if he’d be retiring or not.
