The feedback coming from fans and wrestlers regarding the Undertaker vs. AJ Styles Boneyard match is unbelievable and it continues to roll in. One of the most interesting comments comes from a former WWE Superstar and Hall of Famer.
Mick Foley took to Twitter and asked Vince McMahon to consider him for next year’s Boneyard Match — assuming there is one. “Mr. McMahon, may I please be in next year’s Boneyard Match at WrestleMania?” Foley asked in a video.
The responses were immediate. Fans are all over this idea, not just because it would bring back the match, but because Foley and The Undertaker have such a storied history, that it makes perfect sense for these two to clash again.
And, because the match would be pre-recorded (this year’s match was rumored to take about 8 hours to shoot), WWE could hide any limitations both Foley and The Undertaker might have as two very veteran performers who aren’t the fleetest of foot.
Make it happen Vince and WWE. You stumbled upon a winning idea here because of the change to WrestleMania 36. If guys like Foley want back in, it’s not a bad idea to find a way to make it work.
