The deal is official. Instead of choosing WWE or AEW, Marty Scurll is sticking with Ring of Honor wrestling in an incredible turn that will see him get a sweetheart deal.
A lot of people were eager to see where Scurll would land after his ROH contract ended in November. The inside track belonged to AEW with buzz he was just going to finish out his stint in NWA before signing on to have fun with his All Elite friends.
Instead, PWInsider confirms that Scurll has re-signed with ROH, will receive “WWE main roster money” and become the lead booker for the company.
Scurll will be among the highest-paid performers in ROH, work around 40 dates per year, have the option to go to NWA or NJPW and run the show, staying a huge fish in a smaller pond. He may not be in the big leagues of the wrestling industry but he’ll be the biggest star in North America not wrestling for one of the big two.
