Take this rumor with a grain of salt, especially considering the good things we’ve heard about Brock Lesnar over the past few weeks, but there’s a story by Slice Wrestling suggesting Lesnar and Vince McMahon had a bit of a run-in this past week during WWE’s tapings of WrestleMania 36.
Apparently, the tirade happened over Lesnar’s place in line as WWE was filming matches for the pay-per-view. Slice notes that, while already upset WWE was even asking stars to show up and that WWE didn’t postpone WrestleMania 36, when Lesnar found out he couldn’t just shoot his match with Drew McIntyre and go home, he was pissed.
The report suggests a number of stars didn’t like having to be there but chose not to complain. When Lesnar found out he couldn’t shoot first, Slice Wrestling notes he allegedly marched into a production meeting that had Vince at it, a lost his cool, using colorful language and berating Vince for going on with the show in the face of the pandemic facing the world right now.
It doesn’t say if Lesnar was able to film or how Vince reacted but, obviously, the match went on, Lesnar and McIntyre did what they needed to and WrestleMania will still air, starting Saturday night.
The report adds that Lesnar was upset about payout bonuses for the show considering it’s happening on a closed set with no fans and that this could affect a number of Superstars pay cheques.
Finally, the report notes that many of the Superstars who witnessed or heard about the confrontation weren’t sure what to make of the confrontation but that they didn’t believe it will help because no other star would dare talk to Vince the way Lesnar does.
