If you were one of those fans hoping to see Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and any combination of the Good Brothers reunite with either AJ Styles or Finn Balor, you’re probably having a less-than-stellar day. While a Club reunion could happen, it certainly isn’t likely.
First, Anderson and Gallows were moved to Raw on Monday in an unannounced additional move as part of the Superstar Shake-up. They appeared on Monday’s broadcast and took a loss to the Usos.
Not a good start, especially when you consider they’ve now left Balor on SmackDown Live alone.
Second, AJ Styles is wrapped up in a feud with Seth Rollins and while The Phenomenal One hinted at turning heel in his promo on Monday, there was no connection made between Styles and the new arrivals on Raw.
Finally, Anderson posted on Twitter, “That ship sailed guys.” when answering a fan’s question about whether or not the WWE Universe would get to see the Too Sweet symbol anytime soon.
As you can imagine, fans were disappointed to hear the news assuming that Anderson just killed the idea of any sort of final reunion of a faction that never got a chance.
So What Then For the Good Brothers?
While a move to Raw could be what the team needs and their appearance on Monday is far more than fans have seen them in the recent episodes of Raw or SmackDown Live, at first glance, it feels like more of the same for a decorated team from Japan that hasn’t really hit their stride in WWE.
It would be nice to see the team get a push or work with Styles again (especially if he goes heel) but that may not be in the cards. If not, how long will it be before they move on from WWE and look at other opportunities?
