In preparation for this weekend’s WrestleMania, a couple of WWE Superstars conducted backstage interviews with Kayla Braxton which which uploaded to WWE’s YouTube page. Among them was John Cena who cut a promo on his upcoming match with The Fiend, Bray Wyatt.
WWE must not have loved the promo or something that was said in it, because they pulled the video and re-posted an edited version.
Cena said the following via comicbook.com:
“I know The Fiend operates off of fear, but I also know The Fiend is Bray Wyatt, is Husky Harris, is a guy in a mask. I’m not afraid of The Fiend, and I’m not afraid to say that I’m not afraid of The Fiend.”
Cena’s downplaying of The Fiend and talking about manipulating his way through WWE then referring to him as Husky Harris must be what got the promo pulled. The new promo is below.
As you can see, they are very different promos and went a totally different direction.
