Joan Jett Will Join Ronda Rousey For WrestleMania 35 Entrance

News, WrestleMania 35, WWE

WWE.com is reporting Ronda Rousey will have a special guest at this year’s WrestleMania spectacular. That guest will be none other than Rock N’ Roll icon Joan Jett who will be on hand live to perform Bad Reputation.

Traditionally, WWE goes all out for the main event entrances of their superstars at the biggest show of the year. While there isn’t news on whether or not Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair will get the same sort of entrance, Ronda Rousey is one of the most popular women in WWE, a marketing dream and a fierce competitor from the world of MMA. It makes perfect sense to team her with one of the original bad girls of rock in Jett who tweeted about the announcement.

WWE.com wrote during their announcement:

“The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Joan Jett, is a music legend and icon for powerful women everywhere,” said Neil Lawi, Senior Vice President and General Manager, WWE Music Group. “Her performance at this year’s WrestleMania promises to be both exhilarating and inspiring, and we are honored to watch her join a distinct list of extraordinary performers who have lit up the WWE stage.”

Jett will join a large list of names like Aretha Franklin, Snoop Dogg, Motorhead, Pitbull, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, and Run DMC to grace WrestleMania as a celebrity. This year, she’ll join the likes of Colin Jost and Michael Che of Saturday Night Live fame.

A huge addition to Rousey’s entrance, it still isn’t likely to make her the fan favorite at WWE’s biggest show of the year. The crowd will be firmly behind Lynch.
