It appears Kairi Sane might have wrestled her last match for WWE, at least according to a few reports that can’t completely confirm, but believe that to be the case.
Daniel Wood of The Sportster is writing that he believes Sane’s contract has lapsed. He’s working on confirmation about that fact. From there, a number of reports suggest Sane has seen her tenure with WWE come to a close.
PWInsider confirmed this week that that the recent set of tapings, including this week’s RAW appearance and next week’s show, are Sane’s last as an in-ring talent.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful first reported, WWE wants to keep Sane on in an Ambassador role, and there are no hard feelings regarding her exit. There’s been no official announcement on this so it remains to be seen what Sane does next and whether it involves WWE in some capacity or not.
Did WWE Miss An Opportunity?
If this is the end for Sane, many will argue WWE sadly misused her on the main roster. Not given the credit for how brilliant a talent she was, and some of the excellent matches she had that went largely underpromoted, her bouts with Shayna Baszler on multiple occasions, aswell as an entertaining partnership with Asuka will see her leave as a fan favorite that never quite reached the levels of her potential.
She will be sorely missed by fans.
