During the SummerSlam Kickoff show, AJ Styles and The O.C. were part of a segment backstage that teased the idea of Balor and Styles, along with the rest of The O.C. getting together. If this were to happen, it would be a happy day for many fans who have been waiting a while for the founding members of The Bullet Club to join and work together.
AJ Styles and Finn Balor each have their own respective matches tonight at SummerSlam. Styles will be taking on Ricochet and Balor battles The Fiend. The latter of two matches sees Balor as the underdog and knowing that Styles offered Balor a bit of assistance should he want it.
“If you need our help, just say ‘when'” AJ Styles offered.
Styles and Balor have a bit of history, just not necessarily with each other. Balor was part of the original cast of members who formed The Bullet Club in Japan. When he left and came to WWE, Styles took his place alongside Gallows and Anderson. Eventually, Styles joined WWE and was followed by Gallows and Anderson. But, there was never a time all four members were part of the same team.
Those in the WWE Universe who don’t follow wrestling outside WWE may not know just how popular the Bullet Club was. Those that do know they were the most popular group in wrestling for the better part of a year.
Meanwhile, Balor is rumored to be leaving WWE for a little while and will probably take a loss to Bray Wyatt on his way out the door.
Could WWE be setting the stage for a joining of Bullet Club members? If so, Balor and Styles leading The O.C. would make this group one of the most dominant groups in WWE.
