It was reported earlier on Thursday by Pro Wrestling Sheet that WWE veteran Goldust’s contract had expired. They wrote:
Multiple sources tell us Goldust’s WWE contract recently expired and he’s currently waiting for the 90-day no-compete portion of his agreement to run out before becoming a free agent. As many fans noticed, the wrestler recently removed all mentions of WWE from social media. It’s unclear when the deal expired exactly, but we’re told he should be free in May.

It is interesting and has caught a lot of attention that Goldust has removed all references to his character name on his social media accounts and there is certainly an appetite by his brother Cody Rhodes to bring Dustin into AEW at some point. Cody does not have an opponent yet for Double or Nothing and some speculation is that it’s because there’s hope that opponent will be his brother.
Still, Dustin is adamant that he is with WWE and if so, there’s no reason not to believe him. But, he had to know changing his bio to only read: “Actor/Author/Entertainer! Appearance manager email@example.com. Film Agent – Aurfirstname.lastname@example.org” would raise questions as to his status with Vince and co.
