Elias Guarantees His Performance At WrestleMania Won’t Be Interrupted
The anticipation for Elias at this year’s WrestleMania is off the charts. No, it’s not because of what he might sing or do (while that will likely be entertaining), but it’s because the expectation is that someone will interrupt his performance.
Speculation is wicked about who that someone might be. From John Cena to Lars Sullivan to the Honky Tonk Man and the Undertaker, there’s no shortage of suitable options. As long as it’s not Baron Corbin, the fans will likely be happy…
TMZ Sports caught up with Elias in New York City for WrestleMania 35 week and the Drifter said he has it in his contract from WWE that his performance on Sunday will not be interrupted. “Yeah, they get some sort of kick out of it,” Elias said of people interrupting his performances. “And I can tell you I’m over the interruptions, man, I’m totally over it.”
When being hinted to take a guess as to who might be the one to bug him on this particular show and the speculation that maybe it would be Cena, Elias said, “John Cena is in New York, good for him. I’d rather not see him the whole time I’m here, that’d be great.”
Elias Wants WWE Gold
One of the other things asked during the video was whether or not Elias would prefer to win a Grammy or a WWE Championship Title. For Elias, the answer was easy. Saying he loved music, he’s super focused on WWE and wrestling. On which he’d rather have, “WWE Title, because I’ve wanted to be a wrestler my whole life. This is what I want to do, and that’s the goal,” he said.
The way WWE is pushing Elias, that gold will be around his waist sooner than later. He may not have a match this year, but something suggests he’ll be a big part of the show.
