The moment Charlotte Flair won the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, people started asking, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Where will she go?’, many assuming the decision to give her the title was made to move her to NXT and help boost the ratings. The idea would be to help the Wednesday brand in its battle against AEW Dynamite.
But Flair says she’s not sure it that’s the plan or not. In speaking with Arda Ocal of ESPN, she said she wants to work everywhere, including staying a part of the Raw roster.
She also told TV Insider’s Scott Fishman, “I guess that is up for debate. Do I need to be drafted to NXT? [Laughs] How is this going to work? I hope I get to work at all three brands.”
It might be easier to accomplish that goal with all productions being filmed out of the WWE Performance Centre, so one never knows. But, should that not be the case and WWE has her pegged for the black and gold brand, that’s not going to cause Charlotte to lose any sleep. She’s excited about the crop of stars she could potentially work with.
“Mia Yim, Candice LeRae, and I’m sure Bianca Belair wants a rematch. I haven’t really thought about that yet. It’s crazy, a whole new group of girls. Everyone knows that I’m probably the most competitive person in the locker room, so I’m going to want to have the best division.”
As far as Belair goes, that will have to wait as she was moved to Raw on the most recent Monday night episode. Still, there are some great options and the cast of female performers in NXT will certainly pick up some great advice from the Queen while she’s there defending her title and departing her wisdom.
