Bray Wyatt Names Alter Ego, Introduces The Fiend
If you didn’t catch it last night on Raw, it’s hard to blame you. It came and went by quickly. But, last night, during Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House segment, we learned the name of his alter ego.
Yes, the scary masked man that comes out from the inside of Bray Wyatt and will probably eat us all has a name. That name is The Fiend.
Wyatt went back to a bit more of the campy Firefly Fun House feel on his latest video but there was certainly a dark tone to it. Flash appearances by The Fiend filled the video and Bray spoke with Abby the Witch about being able to control him.
The video ended with Wyatt having two children hold a limbo stick and Wyatt pulling out his old upside down walk. This was the most inclusive video of all parts of the character so far.
When Will Fans See The Fiend?
It’s likely only a matter of time before The Fiend, and Wyatt for that matter, make an appearance outside of these videos.
Wyatt started by being the friendly version of his new persona. It didn’t take long for the dark side to appear and he reveal a “secret” to his Fireflies. At the pace these videos are moving, the expectation is that sooner or later, WWE will move from vignettes to in-ring action.
At that point, it will only be a matter of Wyatt losing control before fans get to see The Fiend live.
The name has not been referenced by Wyatt in any other way prior to these Firefly Fun House segments so it appears to be a new development. It will be interesting to see where he takes it.
