RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently spoke with SportingNews.com and confirmed that the outbreak of the coronavirus has impacted her and Seth Rollins’ wedding plans.
Speculation was that she and Rollins might take a little time off after WrestleMania to get married and take a break. Because of the pandemic, events that would include multiple people have been cancelled and the two Superstars are getting more of a break now than they likely ever might have expected. When asked if the lockdowns have affected their plans to get married, she replied, “Yeah, but like everything you adjust and you move forward.” She added, “At the end of the day, as long as we have our health and as long as we have the people that we love and care about, that’s the main thing.”
There was some buzz her time off might lead to a title change at WrestleMania but there was also concern that her opponent, Shayna Baszler didn’t have quite the drawing power Lynch did. After a poor debut match on Raw, some reports noted WWE wasn’t 100 percent committed to Baszler. Her dominance at the Elimination Chamber put those rumors to rest.
But, if Lynch isn’t leaving now, does that change things?
There’s also been news that two members of Seth Rollins’ faction are going to be off tv for some time which might have created an opportunity to have him off of television for a while. But, he’s one of Raw’s big heel characters and just gaining momentum which could post issues halting his push at this current time.
If both Rollins and Lynch lose at WrestleMania, that might tell us more about what the plans are for both Superstars moving forward.
