If it wasn’t cool enough that wrestling fans were introduced to a wicked alternative to WWE when AEW aired Double or Nothing, the wrestling community got even better news on Monday.
One of AEW’s top stars, Kenny Omega revealed that their next pay-per-view, Fyter Fest, taking place June 29th, will be available for free to viewers on the Bleacher Report Live app.
While Double or Nothing was a huge success by almost every measuring stick, the one area that fans were a bit turned off was the price of the show. For AEW to ask fans to spend $49.95 for the first show was a bit much to some. They are making it up to those folks and hopefully introducing the product to thousands more with AEW’s second show, Fyter Fest. This show will be free, as long as you are part of the Bleacher Report Live family.
At the E3 2019 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, Omega said, “We all have our fans and we’re trying to introduce a new product.”
The Fyter Fest Matches
The card is pretty stacked too. It includes:
Fans who watched Double or Nothing will be looking forward to AEW’s second pay-per-view installment. The card, to date, includes:
Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Bros & TBA
Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela
Four Way Match: “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jungle Boy vs. MJF
Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin
Hardcore Match: Michael Nakazawa vs. Alex Jebailey
Fans will now have no excuse not to check out AEW. If they are pro-WWE, the least they can do now is be informed about what AEW shows are all about and then make their own decision.
Meanwhile, AEW will try to hook as many people to their product as possible. Like WWE does with one free month of the WWE Network, AEW is hoping that once fans get a taste of their shows, they’ll stay hooked.
