AEW Returning To Live Shows [Rumor]
AEW had taped enough footage to get them through the month of May with their television product. But, it appears a change is coming and AEW will be going back to shooting live shows.
For the last few weeks, AEW has been airing taped episodes of their weekly television show on TNT, Dynamite. But, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company may be going back to live programming in a few weeks, a tactic WWE is currently employing during a global pandemic. As they do, the company will air a mix of their taped programming with live material.
Meltzer pointed out things could change if the circumstances of the coronavirus worsen but the plan right now is for AEW to go back either weekly starting on May 6th. The company will shoot their shows out of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
AEW will start by pushing the card for Double or Nothing which is their next PPV coming up on May 23rd. Part of that plan will be to include a number of the talents that were not present at the last round of tapings. That means, talents like Adam Page, The Young Bucks, Lucha Bros. and others may start to appear on AEW Dynamite again.
There is also speculation that AEW might introduce a couple of new names to the product. There has been speculation The Revival (soon to be The Revolt) could be headed to AEW and that in around 80 days time, talents like EC3 or Zack Ryder to make their debuts.
