Sunday night in Mexico at AAA Verano de Escandalo, the Lucha Brothers defeated The Young Bucks and won back the AAA World Tag Team Titles.
Fans who watched AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV saw a five-star contest for the AAA Tag Team titles between the Young Bucks and Lucha Bros. What many may not have known was that it wasn’t long before that matchup took place that The Young Bucks traveled to Mexico and won the titles off one of the most popular tag teams in Mexico.
It was in February when Matt and Nick Jackson defeated Pentagon Jr. and Fenix to win the AAA World Tag Team Titles. The Lucha Bros failed to win them back at AEW’s first pay-per-view.

With the Young Bucks and Lucha Bros officially both a part of AEW, there will be plenty of times these two teams meet in an AEW ring moving forward. Fans who aren’t necessarily familiar with either team will get to know them quite well in the months that come.
