In today’s WWE rumors and news update, there is speculation as to what is next for Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins, rumors a WWE Hall of Famer may be returning and Team Hogan is filled out. But, will it stay the way it is now?
Wyatt and Rollins Stipulation Added
Clearly, WWE believes they can right a wrong by adding a stipulation to the Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins match set to take place at Crown Jewel on October 31st. The company changed the description of the match on WWE.com when they added, “At WWE Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins will once again battle “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Universal Championship, a contest that can’t be stopped for any reason.”
The stipulation doesn’t change the fact WWE put themselves in an awkward position even with the match likely to declare a winner. A major championship has never changed hands at a Saudi Arabia event and WWE did not need to put Wyatt in such a strange spot so early in The Fiend’s character progression.
This is not to mention WWE is already ignoring their own draft rules by having Wyatt stay on Raw for the next few weeks to finish up his feud with Rollins.
Team Hogan Complete
Hulk Hogan took to social media and said he understood Rollins’ decision to step down as captain seeing as he was booked for a match with The Fiend at Crown Jewel. On Friday, Hogan finalized his team and replaced Rollins.
Roman Reigns became the new team caption, and Ali and Chad Gable were added to Rusev and Ricochet who were already on the team.
Edge To Return?
One of the names rumored to captain the team early Friday was WWE Hall of Famer Edge. Speculation was that he might return at Crown Jewel and Edge was in Pittsburgh where WWE’s head of medical Dr. Maroon is based out of. The thought was he might be getting medical clearance.
Twitter account @Ring_Rules reports that “several sources” noted Edge was going to replace Rollins, which as of SmackDown, we know is not the case. But, could that change? The tweet above when translated notes the rumor.
