If you watched Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 35, you witnessed the Monster Among Men as slim as he’s ever been since joining WWE. He also won the Andre the Giant Memorial and was surprised as to how heavy the trophy was when he lifted it above his head.
Such is what happens when a big guy slims down, cuts carbs and looks ripped for the biggest show of the year.
But, the days of struggling to powerslam Samoa Joe (watch the replay of SmackDown Live if you’re not sure what we’re talking about) are over. Strowman says it’s time to bulk back up.
Strowman documented how he was getting into the best shape of his life for WrestleMania 35 appearance on his personal Instagram page. He was able to cut weight thanks to a custom training schedule and fitness program from IFBB Pro powerlifter Israel Hernandez Jr. of The Iron Clad Gym. He wrote:
“Still can’t believe I did this!!!! Never in a million years did I think I would be disciplined enough to cut down this much,” wrote Strowman, who won the 6th Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal last Sunday. “I loved the process but now it’s time to bulk!!!!! #BiggerFasterStronger #TheMonster #TheMoreYouEatTheMoreYouEat #Gainz #BulkingSeason”

Strowman looked great but it will be nice to have the big guy back who didn’t have trouble picking up his opponents, flipping trucks, ambulances and stage sets. That’s the wrestler fans fell in love with and that strength will come back as he piles the weight back on and his diet includes a lot more food that will give him the calories and energy he needs.
