According to WWE.com, Elias will no longer be facing Chad Gable on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live episode. The Drifter has suffered an injury and has been pulled from King of the Ring tournament.

The official statement from WWE reads:

Due to an injury, Elias will not compete in his scheduled King of the Ring semifinal match against Chad Gable.

Stay with WWE Digital platforms and watch SmackDown LIVE tonight on USA Network at 8/7 c for further updates as the situation develops.

It was not released as to what injury Elias has suffered nor who his replacement will be on Tuesday night.

It was either going to be Elias or Gable moving on to face Baron Corbin in th finals of the King of the Ring Tournament at Clash of Champions. WWE will now have to switch gears, assuming Elias was slated to win Tuesday’s matchup.

Who Takes Elias’ Place?

Will WWE put someone else in the match? Will Gable receive a bye to the finals? If the former, who will WWE choose?

Between the Undertaker showing up on Tuesday and now the change in the KOTR match, SmackDown should be a show worth watching.
