WWE Superstars Dana Brooke and Rey Mysterio are reportedly out for WrestleMania due to both currently being in quarantine after showing signs of feeling ill. There are no official confirmations that either has tested positive for the coronavirus but WWE is taking no chances, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Rumors started to swirl on Monday as it was noted that Brooked appeared to have been pulled from the Six-Pack Challenge Match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She was still listed on WWE’s official WrestleMania page as in the match but removed from the graphics on social media. The match now appears to be a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match with everyone except for Brooke.
Reports are that officials are concerned for her, but no other details on her health were provided.
Regarding Mysterio, when the U.S. Title was overlooked on Monday’s Raw because Andrade was teamed with Angel Garza in a tag match for the Raw Tag Team Championships versus The Street Profits, that was the first sign something might be up with Mysterio. He was currently in a program with Andrade but was not mentioned on the broadcast.
Apparently, WWE considered multiple ideas for the United States Title match at WrestleMania 36, Andrade defending against Rey among them. Rey has now been pulled from WrestleMania 36 due to the quarantine.
Brooke and Mysterio have not publicly commented on being in quarantine as of this writing.
