If you’re wondering what kind of precautions WWE is taking while producing television shows during the COVID-19 pandemic, one announcer has given fans a behind-the-scenes look.
WWE personality Charly Caruso was featured in a social media video that showed her getting here makeup applied for, what we can only assume, was her part on Raw this Monday. The video shows Caruso getting ready with hair & makeup artist Valentina Costa wearing what looks to be a standard surgical mask.
There have been previous reports about how serious WWE is taking working under the current conditions facing the world and trying to adhere to all CDC guidelines while filming multiple Raw, SmackDown and NXT episodes. At the same time, WWE is planning on shooting the matches for their big WrestleMania pay-per-view this week.
Reports are they’ve basically taken over a hotel with no one but WWE staff and personalities coming in or out, are keeping staff on lockdown for the week until their tapings are complete and how they’ve ensured they are never over the limit of the allowable personnel in any one building.
One could potentially argue that a makeup artist is not essential personnel but it might be hard to convince some of the WWE stars of that. Looking their best in front of millions of viewers is likely considered critical, even if technically, they could apply their own makeup.
